St. Jude is hiring a Research Echo Sonographer who will perform diagnostic echocardiographic and electrocardiographic testing procedures on hospital patients and assist the hospital consulting Cardiologist in research activities. This role also performs diagnostic M-Mode tracings and 2-Dimensional recordings for review by Cardiologist or patient's physician. Other responsibilities are to prepare and maintain proper patient and departmental documentation along with maintaining equipment and order supplies. This position works on an as needed basis. WORK SHIFT: Rotating Saturdays from 8 AM-1 PM, as needed during week, and possibly on call

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital seeks a leader in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology as new director of its flagship training program.   St Jude is home to the only NCI-designated comprehensive pediatric cancer center, with 600 new cancer patients in the most recent (pre-pandemic) year; the Hematology service attracts more than 300 new patients per year and maintains large active programs in sickle cell disease, hemostasis/thrombosis and bone marrow failure. The Bone Marrow Transplant service performs 120 transplantation and cell therapy procedures annually. Exceptional clinical research resources include the most comprehensive global pediatric oncology and cancer survivorship programs. The Pediatric Hematology/Oncology fellowship admits six fellows annually, supported by the Clinical Education and Training Office. There are also subspecialty fellowship programs in Neuro-oncology, Bone Marrow Transplantation & Cellular Therapy, and Cancer Survivorship; additional years of laboratory research training are also encouraged.   Our vision is that the Program Director will build upon the strengths of the current fellowship to attract and train exceptional applicants in pediatric hematology/oncology. She/he will develop and enhance a world-class training environment supported by exceptional resources from the St. Jude Strategic Plan, including a substantial commitment of protected time for the role. In collaboration with senior leadership, the director will design and coordinate outstanding career development opportunities for the fellows, with the goal of training the next generation of leaders, advancing clinical care and research in pediatric cancer and blood disorders.   The fellowship director will report directly to the Physician-in-Chief/Clinical Director. Joint appointment will be determined by academic interests (i.e., Department of Oncology, Hematology or BMT&CT).   The fellowship program is shared with and administered through the GME office of the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center in Memphis. Appointment at UT as an adjunct faculty member, at a rank equivalent to St. Jude rank, is encouraged.

Tasks include conducting independent chart reviews to prevent lost revenues, evaluating proper medical record documentation requirements, and matching the level of care given by the Professional Staff with the correct level of CPT coding. In addition, this position also assists in the investigation of billing opportunities for future revenue enhancement and the development of projects to determine payment potential and correct code applications. With respect to professional fee generation the Clinical Reimbursement Analyst will be well-informed on CPT-4/ICD-10-CM coding guidelines, third party payment policies, clinical protocols, and all billing conformance standards as prescribed by the AMA, CMS, and CPT. This position also assists Manager of Compliance and Reimbursement with the coordination and development of physician, mid-level provider, and nursing educational programs. It is highly preferred that the selected candidate has obtained thier CPC or CCS-P Certification.

As a Clinical Research Nurse, you’ll be joining a dynamic team of care providers who facilitate active protocols within St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. In this role, you’ll work primarily with leukemia/lymphoma patients, and on a variety of St. Jude sponsored, industry and Children’s Oncology Group studies. You’ll have a variable caseload of patients with whom you’ll ensure compliance and build roadmaps of treatment, then work with your physician and other St. Jude Nursing teams to ensure your patients’ needs are met and to ensure protocol compliance. You will work under the supervision of the Manager of Clinical Trials Operations for the Hematological Malignancy Program, which is part of the St. Jude Comprehensive Cancer Center. You will stay informed of all regulatory needs, corresponding frequently with the IRB. Current studies include both prospective and retrospective studies. Some studies are in the process of being developed and you can help shape these.
