Under general supervision of an interventional radiologist will utilize a combination of training, assessment and technical skills in the accomplishment of their duties in the Interventional lab. The Interventional technologist must be able to produce and evaluate data, information, and images used by the IR physician to render medical diagnosis or perform an interventional procedure. This position requires the technologist to assist the IR clinician in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures utilizing image-guided surgical technique, sterile technique, and radiographic technique. This position does require rotating on call responsibilities.

Under the supervision of a supervising physician, works collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary healthcare team. Provides care for patients both in the outpatient clinic and the inpatient setting and addresses both acute and chronic issues in managing disease and treatment-related complications. Shift based work with majority of shifts occurring evening, nights and weekends. Collects, documents and analyzes patient data; collaborates in the development and implementation of treatment plans; coordinates patient care with ancillary clinical services; makes appropriate referrals to consulting medical staff; provides follow up to referring physicians; may orient or precept students and new staff. Performs other related duties as assigned or directed to meet the goals and objectives of the institution.
The St Jude Children's Research Hospital (SJCRH) Director for the Center of Advance Practice Providers (APP) ensures the provision of the highest quality patient care through providing leadership, consultation and advocacy to ensure all aspects of the APP practice including Nurse Practitioners (NPs), Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs), Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) and Physician Assistants (PAs) practice in the full scope of their licensure. The director functions as a primary resource regarding APP recruitment and retention, utilization and collaborative practice models, credentialing, orientation, regulation and policy issues, competency, professional development, student placement, compliance and research. The position demands strong leadership, team building, and decision-making capability. Demonstrates excellent communication, coordination, and collaboration with SJCRH leadership and departments throughout the institution.
