We are looking to hire a Ruby on Rails Developer who is highly motivated and capable of developing cutting-edge web-based applications as part of St. Jude’s groundbreaking platform, St. Jude Cloud. This team member will work on an agile development team alongside team members as well as world-class researchers to devise novel web applications for working with raw and curated genomics data for a user base ranging from oncologists to bioinformatics research scientists.   This position requires being aware of emerging technologies, platforms, frameworks, and bioinformatics web portals to ensure St. Jude Cloud’s web applications exceed industry standards. The successful candidate is experienced with Ruby on Rails development and may have light experience in database design and modern back- and front-end technologies such as Node.js/Express, PHP/Laravel, and modern JavaScript frameworks. Experience in Bioinformatics is preferred.
