We are currently seeking a Part-Time Bio-hazard Technician for our cleanup support. This individual will need to be able to handle different situations as well as physical demands associated with the bio-hazard role and the needs of our patients and families.

In this strategic and important role, the manager will oversee the inventory and distribution management of medical supplies and linen. Also monitors and manages supply levels and communicates with clinical staff to ensure that patient care needs are met on a daily basis without exception.
To be successful in this role, works closely with Purchasing to see that all requirements are properly identified and product is received in a timely manner. Oversees the rotation of stock and segregates product when recalled. Will also manage the linen contract for the hospital to ensure linen is ordered and distributed to support patient care appropriately and efficiently.

As a Buyer, you will be responsible for responsible for source selection and procurement functions directly associated with clinical, scientific and research products and services. In this role, you will negotiate contractual arrangements between St. Jude and selected vendors committing hospital funds to ensure the acquisition of high quality goods and services at optimum cost. While ensuring quality of goods, and competitive levels of delivery consistent with institution and departmental policies and performance standards.
The HVC Refrigeration Mechanic maintains, modifies, troubleshoots, repairs, adjusts, and operates air handling systems, package air conditioning, heating units, fan coil units, heat pumps, chillers, exhaust fans, heat exchangers, and HVAC related pumps, as well as clinical, laboratory, research and food storage refrigerators, freezers, ice machines, and controlled environmental rooms (CERs) and similar equipment. This role also maintains building HVAC electronic control systems, control air compressors, and thermostat controls. In this role, you will use hand and power tools to repair and/or fabricate items by sketches, diagrams or manufacture specification to restore equipment to operation. While the primary work will be on refrigerators, freezers, and the controlled environmental rooms, the selected candidate must be able to handle any basic trouble call, such as being requested to move an electrical receptacle or perform small plumbing repairs. The technician must have some experience with Emergency Diesel Generator (EDG) operations and maintenance. Lastly, the technician must provide rapid, friendly, quality customer service to scientists working in a state of the art research facility.

A Veterinary Technician in the Animal Resources Center (ARC) provides timely clinical care and management to a diverse population of lab animal species, under the supervision of veterinarians. Specialized clinical care and technical skills are utilized for administering treatments, collecting samples, managing databases, and performing minor surgeries in a herd health practice of medicine. Responsibilities include providing care during weekends and holidays on a rotational basis and could include overtime work. We are looking for a Medical Technologist II in the area of Molecular Microbiology to work in the COVID-19 testing laboratory for the prompt, efficient, and accurate performance, validation, and reporting of laboratory test results which are utilized for the purpose of disease prevention. Under the direct supervision of the Director, Manager or Supervisor, the MT II is responsible for the assigned shift as scheduled. Employee must meet the qualifications as defined in CLIA requirements 42 CFR Part 493 for one or more of the following roles based on education, experience and responsibilities, performed by specific incumbent, within the job: Technical Consultant, Technical Supervisor, General Supervisor and/or Testing personnel.
*Experience in molecular infectious disease testing is highly preferred. Filling multiple positions.
Schedule: Monday-Friday with variable day and evening shift hours and will rotate weekend and holiday coverage.
