The Senior Technical Support Specialist provides expert level hardware and software support for local computing resources. Supports local networking resources and requirements. Works with Executives and VIP clients to quickly resolve technology issues while providing exceptional customer service. Works with technology staff, clients, collaborators and vendors to identify and analyze needs, investigate solutions, implement and deploy required technologies. Maintains technologies and observes procedures used for management and deployment of systems and software. Works to complete projects as assigned by institutional, departmental or divisional requirements. Functions as an active participant in working with departments, departmental liaisons and the individual clients. Maintain an awareness and understanding of technological advances, vendor product offerings and issues in line with campus requirements. Maintains current knowledge of institutional, departmental and divisional policies and procedures and acts in all duties and responsibilities to comply with these and other required regulations, policies or procedures. Performs other related duties as assigned or directed in order to meet the goals and objectives of the department. Mentors, trains and assists other technology service providers as required.
Come be a part of the Neuroimaging Laboratory in the Department of Developmental Neurobiology. This advanced imaging facility houses two lattice light sheet microscopes, a custom built adaptive optics enabled lattice light sheet microscope, one Gaussian light sheet system for cleared tissue-imaging, and a wide variety of general use instrumentation for fixed and live-cell applications. We collaborate with leading methods developers to build microscopes and advance the frontier of the field, while also operating a robust training program that enables biologists to rapidly utilize the latest technology in their projects.
The Lead Researcher will support integration of microscope technology into investigator-lead projects, and will primarily be responsible for the maintenance and calibration of the instruments in addition to user guidance and training. There will be opportunities to grow within the role with the potential to become more involved with research and development as they familiarize themselves with our instrumentation and processes.
Successful candidates will be intellectually motivated, have the ability to follow standard operating procedures with a high attention to detail, and have either a background in engineering or extensive microscope experience in a related life science or physical science field. Programming experience in Python and/or MatLAB is desirable but not required.

The Therapeutic Production and Quality department is looking for a Sr. Scientist I Process Development to design and implement process development experiments with minimal supervision, both upstream and downstream unit operations. In this role you will perform small scale culture experiments, set up and run bioreactors for culture of mammalian or bacterial cells, and optimize purification methods using various chromatography techniques. Experience in mammalian and bacterial cell culture, bioreactors, protein purification, plasmid DNA purification, tangential flow filtration and various other filtration techniques is preferred. We are seeking for a Researcher to focus on translational research support for pediatric solid tumor and brain tumor programs. This position involves assisting with the collection and processing of biological specimens, routine colony maintenance and administration of substances techniques, facilitates specimen inventory and sample shipping worldwide, and maintains detailed records of ongoing scientific projects. Additionally, this person will interact with multiple institutional departments and collaborate on projects and initiatives. Assists with the management of laboratory operations. Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, follows established policies and procedures to perform a variety of routine technical and clerical support tasks that are integral to the operation of the Pharmaceutical Department. Prepares unit dose medications, outpatient prescriptions and intravenous admixtures to assist the department in the preparation and delivery of pharmaceutical supplies. Stocks and reorders pharmacy supplies, assists with mail-out orders, replenishment of nursing floor stock, and orders, receives and distributes pharmacy inventory within the pharmacy and throughout the institution. Maintains inventory records and performs audits for medications, supplies, controlled substances and regulated alcohol. Utilizes software programs for all inventory transactions and coordinates ordering with wholesalers and other suppliers. Implements and maintains pharmaceutical technology including computer systems, pumps, and dispensing devices. Ensures all inventory is received and stored each business day in alignment with standard operating procedures; assists in storing medication orders, and receiving drop ship and direct purchase orders as-needed. Facilitates the management of medication inventories; ensures medication product is stored appropriately and in-date, rotating inventory as necessary. Maintains all medication storage areas in a clean, organized, and orderly fashion. Ensures assigned tasks are accurate and reviewed by supervising personnel as required. Performs cycle counts of medication inventories including counting, investigating, and rectifying discrepancies according to written procedure.
