The Department of Global Pediatric Medicine (GPM) at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (SJCRH) is seeking a Project Coordinator with Instructional Design and e-learning project management experience to support the medical education platform and strategic departmental Distance Learning Programs. Duties will include leading the planning, development, and coordination of Learning Management System related, instructor-lead, blended classroom, and other educational projects and programs within GPM and Cure4Kids. This key team member will act as a liaison with other members of Global Pediatric Medicine, St. Jude collaborators and global participants, and thus must be able to communicate clearly and foster trusting relationships. The ideal candidate would be eager to help develop and grow programs in distance learning in support of the St. Jude Global strategic vision.

The St. Jude Cure4Kids and Distance Learning Project Coordinator is responsible for:


  • Designing, coordinating, and implementing regional, global, transversal, or project-based educational initiatives
  •  Providing oversight of distance learning project activities
  • Leading project/departmental section teams and Instructional Learning Design (ILD) staff
  • Instructing faculty and teams on use of the Learning Management System (LMS), educational best practices, effective learning strategies, course design, leadership development, organizational effectiveness, and development planning
  • Consulting with teams on designing measurable learning outcomes and evaluating the effectiveness of educational projects and training initiatives
  • Providing technical oversight of the Learning Management System and its interface to Cure4Kids
  • Developing and implementing standardized tools, frameworks, and metrics to ensure execution of project deliverables
  • Developing new and efficient processes and implementing improvements to existing team SOPs
  • Maintaining and tracking project timelines and deliverables, including updating relevant data and project records
  • Collaborating with transversal GPM units (e.g., Health Systems,

    Metrics and Performance) to coordinate engagement with St. Jude partners

  • Facilitating communication and implementation of initiatives with global collaborators

  • Facilitating written and spoken discussions in live meetings, presentations, and email/written communications

  • Performing other related duties as directed to meet the goals and objectives of the department and the institution

  • Ensuring alignment amongst SJCRH, GPM, and St. Jude Global strategic plans and missions

Skills and Abilities

  • In-depth knowledge of instructional design and e-learning methodologies. Experience using Articulate 360, Presenter and Storyline; Camtasia; Captivate; web-authoring tools (HTML, JavaScript); audio/ and video recording and editing tools; graphics and animations tools (Adobe Creative Cloud including Animate, Photoshop, and Illustrator, or similar)

  • Second language a plus

  • Ability to create reports and presentations, including data visualizations

  •  Experience with project management methodologies

  • Strong communication skills with ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with diverse team members

  • Flexibility in schedule to accommodate meetings across different time zones (early morning and evenings)

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks

  • Consistent attention to detail

  • Adaptable problem-solving skills, able to analyze and synthesize new information quickly

  • Cultural sensitivity is a must

Minimum Education

  • Bachelor's degree in related field is required
  • Master's degree is preferred

Minimum Experience

  • Three (3) years of experience and expertise in complex project management

  • Demonstrated ability to plan and coordinate multiple projects/work initiatives

  • Experience with Microsoft Tools (SharePoint, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Instructional Design methodology and content development tools, e-learning platforms

  • Supervisory and/or team coordinator experience preferred

  • Clinical background is preferred, research experience is a plus
