Overview

The St. Jude Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Developmental Biology and the Hematological Malignancies program are excited to announce a new opportunity for a Clinical Project Manager who will report to the Director of Clinical Trials Management, Oncology Programs. You will work with faculty investigators in the Leukemia/Lymphoma Division to develop new St. Jude sponsored clinical trials, expanding the clinical trials portfolio, working with key internal and external stake holders and study related communications. You will collaborates with preclinical project management on assigned translational projects to ensure adequate project coverage on translational projects. You will coordinate with leadership and clinical trial marketing, clinical trial concept development, clinical trial development, and clinical trial start-up activities on assigned St. Jude sponsored clinical trials.

Responsibilities

The Clinical Project Manager will be responsible for the following:

  • In conjunction with leadership, develops new St. Jude-sponsored clinical trials, expanding the clinical trial portfolio, communicating with key internal and external stakeholders, and developing study-related communications.
  • Provides project support on both translational research and clinical research projects.
  • Collaborates with preclinical project management on assigned translational projects to ensure adequate project coverage on translational projects.
  • Coordinates with leadership and clinical trial marketing, clinical trial concept development, clinical trial development, and clinical trial start-up leadership on assigned St. Jude sponsored clinical trials.
  • Provides start-up coordination for externally-developed protocols (industry, consortium, etc.) as needed by the division.
  • Serves as a department point person in collaboration with Clinical Operations Management for internal and external clinical trial stakeholders during the clinical trial start-up period.
  • Supports leadership as needed with protocol CAP project management for St. Jude sponsored clinical trials.
  • Works independently, as well as collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to bring visibility to the department clinical trial pipeline and to develop protocol-specific communications (newsletters, WebEx presentations, etc.) Assists in the development and ongoing review of divisional standard operating procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as directed to meet the goals and objectives of the department and the institution.

Minimum Education

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
  • Master's degree in a related field preferred.

Minimum Experience

  • Five (5) years of clinical, biomedical, scientific or related experience required with Bachelor's degree.
  • Three (3) years of clinical, biomedical, scientific or related experience required with Master's degree.
  • Prior experience in coordinating clinical trials in academic center, hospital, or pharmaceutical industry preferred
  • Clinical research background strongly preferred

Other Credentials

  • (LC: SOCRA)(LC: ACRP) Certification in clinical research from the Society of Clinical Research Associates (SoCRA) or the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) must be obtained within three (3) years of assuming the position
  • Must maintain by re-certification while in position
