Overview

The Security Officer I will assists employees by responding to inquiries and resolving issues or complaints. Greeting, assisting and directing patients, families, staff and visitors. Responsible for securing St. Jude premises, including buildings, construction sites, gift shops, warehouses, and parking lots. Responsible for conducting foot or vehicle patrols, controlling access points of entry, securing equipment, responding to emergency situations, assisting with crowd and traffic control during special events.  Writing complete and accurate incident reports and taking appropriate action. May also be responsible for monitoring surveillance equipment CCTV. This position will also provide excellent customer service and may provide patrol duties as needed

Minimum Education

  • High school diploma/GED required

Minimum Experience

  • 6 months prior experience in a security program, police organization, military branch, or conflict counseling is required
  • Experience in data entry and working in emergency situations and fast pace stressful environment

Other Credentials

A valid driver’s license from the employee’s state of residence and a valid insurance policy on the vehicle which meets the requirements for the state of Tennessee and be insurable by St. Jude’s insurance carrier may be required
