Overview

Provides personal care and homemaking services to patients in their residence under the direction of professional clinicians. Assists patients with self-administered medications specifically prescribed by a physician, and provides emotional support to patients, families and other caregivers.

Minimum Education

  • High School Diploma.

Minimum Experience

  • Three (3) years of practical experience in a hospital, nursing home, home care programs or hospice.
  • Pediatric experience preferred.

Required Credentials

  • Active certification with the State of Tennessee as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
  • If operating a motor vehicle for St. Jude business, must have a valid driver's license from the employee's state of residence and a valid personal insurance policy on the vehicle which meets the requirements for the state of Tennessee.

Other Credentials

  • CPR AED certification required
  • Recertification is required every two (2) years.
