The Director of Improvement Science Research will undertake an exciting opportunity at St. Jude! The individual will be responsible to develop a vision and strategy to increase scholarly output by faculty and staff engaged in improvement science. This position is a critical step for St. Jude to become an academic leader in improvement science for children with catastrophic disease. This position will be expected to foster a culture that embraces rigorous improvement science methods at an institutional level. The Director will guide faculty, and staff to ensure that quality improvement initiatives meet the standard for academic peer-review. This standard is met by collaborating with researchers and establishing structure that guarantees the design, methodology, analysis, and quality of scientific writing of improvement science efforts meets or exceeds scientific norms.
We are looking for someone who takes initiative and enjoys building a program from the ground up. The individual will need to be able to effectively communicate to a diverse range of internal customers. The selected candidate will be also able to balance providing strategic vision for the team and able to be hands on supporting customers.
