The Director of the Biomedical Library works with faculty, staff, and students to support the institution's mission and goals and meets strategic plan priorities. As the Director, you will oversee overall operations of the library, ensuring appropriate and efficient provision of services to meet the information needs of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (SJCRH) and the St. Jude Graduate School (SJGS). Specific duties include budget preparation, justification and management; evaluation and implementation of innovative technologies in library services and/or data management; customer focused learning and development initiatives; development and implementation of policies and procedures that impact library operations and the organization; ongoing evaluation of current resources and services; managing acquisitions and collection development; and provision of services required by the (SJGS) for accreditation. You will be responsible for managing and developing a talented team of three. To be successful in this position, you should have supervisory experience, should be technical savvy, should have a customer centric focus, should be a strong negotiator, and should be a forward thinker.
