The Hatley lab is seeking a highly motivated Senior Research Technologist to join our team in the Molecular Oncology Division of the Department of Oncology. Our group focuses on how normal development processes are perturbed to drive pediatric embryonal tumors using rhabdomyosarcoma as a model. The lab uses both in vivo and in vitro model systems. Successful applicants should have strong organizational and communication skills with drive and dedication to participate as a member of our team. The ideal candidate should have experience in mouse colony management, cell culture, molecular cloning, and molecular biology. The position will be expected to operate as an advanced-level Research Technologist by assisting the principal investigator with the data collection and analysis for research projects. As well, the position will be expected to properly conduct specific projects, maintain efficient laboratory operations and may assist in training other laboratory personnel. The Senior Research Technologist will also perform other duties as assigned or directed in order to meet the goals and objectives of the department.
Bachelor's degree in an appropriate scientific field is required
A minimum of three (3) years total work experience as a SJCRH Research Technologist or three (3) years relevant post-degree experience in a similar research environment is required with a Bachelor's degree.
A minimum of two (2) years total work experience as a SJCRH Research Technologist or two (2) years relevant post-degree experience in a similar research environment is required with a Master's degree.
No experience is required with a PhD in a related field.
