  • Overview

    A business relationship manager (BRM) is the liaison between Information Services and business functions across the institution. The ideal candidate understands organizational business processes and provides technology guidance to ensure maximum return on investment for clinical research systems business strategy requirements. A key focus for the selected individual will be vendor relationship management and process improvement of project management methodologies.

     

    The selected business relationship manager will not only work to stimulate, surface, and shape demand for capabilities and assets, but also will capture, optimize and recognize business value from the capabilities and assets. This person will be responsible for organizing programs and projects to support the organization's strategic direction, as well as creating and managing long term goals. Not only will the selected candidate need to have attention to detail, but also this person must be an effective communicator. The business relationship manager will be presenting project updates to executives at least once per month.

     

    Budget development and operational oversight of project managers are within the scope of this role. The business relationship manager will work alongside other project management professionals to manage more than 20 vendors which comprise St Jude’s portfolio of clinical trial management systems.

    Responsibilities

     

     

    Minimum Education

    • Bachelor's degree in a Healthcare discipline, Business Administration or Management, Information Systems or related field is required
    • Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in Clinical Research, Clinical Informatics, or a clinical specialty is a plus. 

    Minimum Experience

    • Eight (8) years of program or portfolio management experience required in a dynamic and progressive technological environment required
    • Five (5) years supervisory experience required
    • Three (3) years budgetary planning and management experience required
    • Clinical or Clinical Research program management experience is a plus

    Other Credentials

    • Active Project Management certification from Project Management Institute
    • PMP, PMI-ACP, or PgMP certification required
