The Director for the Center for Modeling Pediatric Diseases (CMPD) will partner with research programs institution-wide on modeling cancer using patient derived induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs). In this new role, you will establish the infrastructure and workflow to generate and differentiate iPSCs in pediatric cancer, neurological or non-malignant blood diseases. You will be responsible for recruiting a team, developing standard operating procedures (SOPs), and working with faculty on consultation and project coordination. The Center will obtain patient consents, maintain quality control and be a repository of iPSCs. You will also work closely with the Center for Advanced Genome Engineering (CAGE) to genetically modify iPSCs and embryonic stem cell lines to complement the patient derived lines and distribute cell lines to collaborating departments at St. Jude.
