    As a Part-Time Administrative Specialist at St. Jude, you have the opportunity to provide administrative support and services for the Pharmaceutical Sciences Department while contributing to our mission. 

     

    This is a PART-TIME position working 24 hours a week only. 

    Possible shift will be M-F 9:00am-3:00pm or M-F 10:00am-4:00pm

    Responsibilities

    • Coordinates administrative support for project management.
    • Makes detailed travel arrangements for one or several individuals at a time.
    • Arranges logistics and transportation for meetings involving internal and external participants considering cost and quality of services.
    • Anticipates and prepares daily meetings.
    • Schedules appointments without prior clearance.
    • Initiates, establishes and communicates department meetings on behalf of supervisor.
    • Ensures timely and cost effective completion of administrative details.
    • Ensures that practices and procedures used by subordinates are consistent with established procedures.
    • Provides administrative services for departments.
    • Anticipates, initiates, coordinates and follows up on administrative activities and other special projects.
    • May have the functional responsibility for providing direction to other administrative staff. 
    • Possesses the ability to handle sensitive situations in a mature and confidential manner.

    Minimum Education

    • High school diploma or GED.

    Minimum Experience

    • Five (5) years of administrative support experience required.
    • Experience must involve e-mail, word processing and typing correspondence and reports, data entry, budgeting and bookkeeping, preparing presentations and filing.
    • Grants and/or database experience preferred.
