Under direction of the Manager, Clinical Analytics, responsible for the overall planning, management and completion of projects, with particular emphasis on data management, the development of intuitive tools and reports, and other analytic-based projects within the scope of quality improvement and patient safety work across the institution. Works to develop project scope, identify appropriate data sources and end-user requirements. Coordinates the efforts of disparate team members to ensure the appropriate retrieval, collection, analysis, and interpretation of improvement and patient safety data. Manages project roles, resource requirements, training needs, project deliverables, reporting structures to ensure quality of projects. Identifies projects technical approaches and manages the system development process. Documents data requirements and identifying opportunities to integrate and improve data systems and resources to fulfill project requirements and ongoing data needs. Leads the design, testing, planning, and implementation of complex projects for systems that can affect many users. Provides statistical analysis of quality improvement data, including the selection of appropriate statistics.
Bachelor's degree is required
Master's degree (MBA, MHA, MIS, etc.) preferred
Five (5) years of project management experience required
Previous experience with various design methodologies and project management tools is required. Experience leading large scale and wide ranging implementations required. Experience in a health care setting preferred. Experience in statistical analysis using SAS, SPSS, R, or MiniTab preferred. Experience with business intelligence software, such as Hyperion or Tableau preferred
Project Management Certification (PMP) is preferred
Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or Lean Six Sigma at the highest attained level preferred
