  • Overview

    The Manager of Operations & Research under direction of Department of Radiation Oncology leadership, provides leadership and oversight of departmental operations, including clinical research. This includes safety, compliance, data management, research and analysis (inclusive of patient enrollment and recruitment) and financial management. Develops, implements and supports systems to promote efficiency, maximize productivity and foster patient safety. Acts as a resource for the medical and physics faculty and department staff. Provides guidance and assistance in protocol development and manages approved research studies and other related protocols. Manages CRA staff and assists postdoctoral research associates.

    Minimum Education

    Bachelor's degree required in health-related field/scientific related discipline or mathematics

    Master's degree preferred.

    Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of employment

    Minimum Experience

    Five (5) years' progressive experience as a Clinical Research Manager overseeing clinical research trials with at least two years in oncology research required. Experience with research protocols and regulatory or governing bodies, including HIPAA and FDA regulations, IRB requirements, and Good Clinical Practices as defined by the FDA required

    Radiation Oncology experience preferred. Project Management experience preferred with two (2) years of protocol project management. Grant writing experience preferred. Statistical analysis experience preferred

    Other Credentials

    ARUP Handling, Packaging and Shipping Infectious Substances or similar within 30 days of employment

    Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) within 30 days of employment.

    Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) or Society of Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA) Certified Research Associate (CRA), Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP), Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC), or comparable within 1 year of employment.

    PMI certification preferred.

    If Registered Nurse, graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. Master's degree in Nursing preferred, Bachelor's degree in nursing required
