A shared goal of the department is to explore the clinical application of genomic data, with a focus on their impacts on precision medicine and gene therapy in blood disorders. As the Bioinformatics Reesarch Scientist, you will work collaboratively with experts from functional genomics, genome editing, stem cell and gene therapy fields. In this role, you have the opportunity to develop and apply innovative analytical and statistical approaches for studying genetic variation and its relationship to blood disorders. By providing support to research groups, you will process data to explore valid meanings and communicate the best approaches to analyzing the data. The technology is constantly evolving and you will have the rare opportunity to analyze data generated by different cutting-edge technology, such as single cell RNA-seq, single cell perturbation, genome and epigenome editing, whole genome sequencing, Hi-C, PLAC-seq, ATAC-seq and ChIP-seq.
