  • Overview

    Reporting to the Research Compliance Administrator, serve as a trusted partner to St. Jude’s diverse research community.  Participate in the development of the Annual Research Compliance Work Plan.  Plan and carry out activities identified in the Work Plan.  Conduct auditing and monitoring of research-related activities to ensure compliance of the clinical and basic science research enterprise, including the Animal Care and Use Committee, with related St. Jude policies/procedures and federal, state, and local regulations and guidelines (e.g., clinical research billing, OHRP, NIH, CMS, ORI, and OLAW).  Identify research compliance risk areas for inclusion in the Work Plan.  Develop and implement research compliance related policies and procedures.  Provide research compliance training and education to faculty and staff. Provide research compliance guidance.  Help facilitate and expand the conflict of interest and international compliance programs.  Strive to safeguard the mission, vision, and values of St. Jude and the Compliance Program

    Minimum Education

    • Bachelor's Degree in a science, research administration, health, law or related field required
    • Master's degree preferred

    Minimum Experience

    • Three (3) years of research and/or compliance experience in a scientific or healthcare related field required
    • Experience with healthcare billing/coding, export controls, and federal research compliance regulations (e.g., NIH, CMS, OHRP, FDA, ORI etc) preferred
    • Experience with COI agreements is preferred
    • Experience with training large groups on regualtions is preferred
    • Experience with exports and inport contracts is preferred

    Other Credentials

    • Certification or certification eligibility in healthcare compliance, research compliance, research administration, or a related field through an applicable certification organization (e.g., Health Care Compliance Association ("HCCA"), National Council of University Research Administrators ("NCURA"), Society of Research Administrators International ("SRA"), Research Administrators Certification Council ("RACC"), etc.). It is anticipated that the incumbent will obtain certification within 2 years of employment. Certification in Healthcare Research Compliance (CHRC) preferred
