The primary purpose of the Principal Web Portal Developer position is to provide web portal and web application programming and development in support of basic science research at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (SJCRH). The Principal Web Portal Developer will design and develop scientific web portal sites from concept all the way to completion from the bottom up, fashioning everything from the home page to site layout and function. The Principal Web Portal Developer position is responsible for the coding, innovative design and layout of scientific web portal sites in a hybrid on-premises and public Cloud environment. Responsibilities include collecting and creating web portal contents (copy, data, interactive data analysis and visualization tools, images, videos, etc.), planning web portal site layout and navigation, coding the actual web portal pages and web applications, then testing and optimizing the web portal sites and web applications for superior user experience and optimum performance.
