The Research Administrator II serves as a key figure in the research mission of the institution. Duties include independently supporting investigators through the entire proposal submission process; administration of a large, high dollar and varied portfolio of sponsored awards that may include multiple faculty and locations. The selected candidate will also be responsible for management of competing priorities while providing excellence in customer service to internal and external customers. The Research Administrator II also ensures activity records are accurate, appropriately organized and recorded in a timely manner; independently negotiating sponsored agreements and contracts; serving as a training resource for faculty and staff at all levels; identification and dissemination of potential funding sources for faculty constituency; development of documentation of protocols, templates, and additional resources; read; interpret; disseminate and or apply federal and other sponsor guidelines and regulatory documents.
Five (5) years of grant and contract, IRB, IACUC, research administration or related experience is required.
Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in a business or a related field.
Master's degree preferred.
