Performs volunteer apheresis procedures and recruits and processes volunteer donors for apheresis and whole blood, under supervision of the Manager and Nurse Coordinator. Provides component apheresis procedures for the institution. Administers Blood Donor Center Quality Control/Quality Program. Recruits donors. Conducts translational/basic research and development activities. Position has a dotted line reporting relationship to the Nursing Executive/CNO. Coordinates with supervisor and Nursing Executive/CNO to ensure consistent institution-wide compliance with standards of nursing practice.

One (1) year experience as a registered nurse required
Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing required
Must possess a current Tennessee State Board of Nursing license if primary residence is Tennessee or a Nurse Licensure non-Compact state
Must possess a current State Board of Nursing license in the state of primary residence if the state is a Nurse Licensure Compact state
