  • Overview

    This individual will have an opportunity to work in a world class organization with opportunities to continually learn and grow. The Quality Analyst will report to the Director of HIMS and be part of a larger team in the Department of Information Sciences. The focus of this position will be quality improvement/management, regulatory compliance, accurate data collection, customer service and clinical documentation improvement. This position is also responsible for the coordination and analysis of the HIMS processes, including utilization management, customer satisfaction, and maintenance of Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations compliance. This position provides guidance for all aspects within the HIMS department, focusing on the needs of the department's customers and teamwork.

    Minimum Experience

    • Three years in healthcare setting where familiarity with standards of care, medical record documentation, and exposure to medical terminology has occurred.
    • Must be familiar with JCAHO standards and their application to patient care.
    • Must have experience with database development and maintenance.
    • Experience with Quality Improvement, Utilization Management, Risk Reduction/Safety Management and related issues are preferred.

    Minimum Education

    • Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management required.

    Other Credentials

    • Registered Health Information Administrator Licensure (RHIA) required.
