    There is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced scientist to work in our Cellular Therapy group.  This position will bridge the gap from the lab to the clinic here at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.  This position will primarily use lentiviral vectors and genome editing technologies to treat monogenic diseases such as sickle cell anemia and immunodeficiencies.  You will use T cell therapies, including chimeric antigen receptor T cell therapies, to treat cancer, including both leukemias and solid tumors.  Existing technologies such as CliniMACS Prodigy will be used and will adopt and develop new technologies for manufacturing cellular therapies.  Assays used to measure cellular phenotype and function such as cytotoxicity, cytokine release, etc. will be done in the lab as well.  This position works closely with physicians, principle investigators, and the Human Applications Laboratory in both a non-GMP and GMP environment.  

     

     

     

    Minimum Experience

    With a bachelor’s degree, 12 years of related experience required. With a Masters, 8 years of related experience required. With a PhD., 4 years of related experience required. Experience in process development in a cGMP environment is preferred. Experience in culturing and transducing immune cells and hematopoietic cells preferred. Proficiency in flow cytometry preferred.

    Minimum Education

    Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences or related field. MS or PhD preferred.
