St. Jude is looking for a someoene with experience managing a maintenance team in a hotel or apartment living complex. This position takes care of the facility the patients stay in for long term care. Executes the formal Conduct of Operations standards required to safely and effectively operate and maintain Facilities at Target House. Oversees training, qualification, administrative, monitoring and auditing programs to continuously operate and maintain critical facilities in compliance with all requirements as appropriate. Ensures a safe and comfortable environment is continuously maintained for the patients, visitors and staff. Assists the Director in achieving departmental goals by coordinating with Hospital, contractor, and FOM management. Supervises the Target House Maintenance Supervisor and shop members. Ensures safe and proper supervision, monitoring, operation and maintenance of assigned areas of responsibility, including associated systems and equipment. Ensures all operations and maintenance activities are conducted within departmental policies and procedures, and all federal, state and local regulatory agency requirements. Resolves all problems, emergencies and other matters affecting assigned areas of responsibility, including associated systems and equipment. Suspends activities when undue risks to health, safety, or the environment are identified. Reviews designs and provides project management services for proposed facility modifications, additions and expansions. Assists the Director in developing and achieving departmental goals, objectives and budgetary requirements. Develops and maintains all facility Operating and Emergency Procedures for assigned areas.
Ten (10) years technical management, supervisory and leadership experience in an apartment complex, board and care facility, hospital or related environment required.
Two (2) years of experience may be acceptable with a Bachelor's degree.
Associate's degree is required. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
Substantial training in the philosophy and application of Facilities Operations and Maintenance processes and systems is required.
